POOR PARKING IN SLITTING MILL

Good evening,

We are aware of ongoing concerns regarding vehicles parking on Slitting Mill Road, particularly in the vicinity of The Horns, with little consideration for other road users and pedestrians.

Officers have been on patrol in the area today and have issued a number of warning notices to vehicles found to be parked inconsiderately. We will continue to monitor the location and take appropriate action where necessary.

Whilst Staffordshire Police can deal with certain parking offences, the lead agency for longer-term parking and highway management issues is Staffordshire County Council. I have therefore made contact with the County Council to discuss potential long-term solutions to address the concerns being reported by residents and road users.

In addition, I am liaising directly with The Horns to remind patrons of the importance of parking legally, safely and considerately when visiting the venue.

We would like to thank residents for continuing to report issues and ask all motorists using the area to be mindful of other vehicles, local residents and pedestrians at all times.
